ABS-CBNNews.com reports that a man named Roendo Ariata-who arrived from Hong Kong on board Philippine Airlines flight PR 307-was caught with at least 7 kilograms of high-grade shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 on Tuesday evening, January 9.

According to airport inspector Kristian Cordis, the drugs were not detected when Ariata’s box went through the X-ray machine since they were concealed by carbon and stashed inside milk cartons. Cordis decided to conduct a closer inspection of Ariata’s luggage when he noticed that the latter was "acting suspiciously."

The report noted: "The seized items have an estimated value of ₱35 million."
