Explosion rocks Bonifacio Global City on Wednesday, January 30

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that on Wednesday, January 30, at around 4:30 p.m. "an explosion allegedly caused by a gas leak occurred in front of the Two Parkade building at the corner of 7th Avenue and 30th Street in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig."

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that on Wednesday, January 30, at around 4:30 p.m. "an explosion allegedly caused by a gas leak occurred in front of the Two Parkade building at the corner of 7th Avenue and 30th Street in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig."

 

The report noted: "Sr. Supt. Arthur Felix Asis said the blast came from a water drainage system, which caused several manhole covers to be lifted off the ground. Witnesses said the explosion sounded like a blown tire and was followed by a strong gas odor. Construction workers also said they saw a big fire from one of the manholes." ABS-CBNNews.com further added that "no casualties or damages have been reported (as of 7:41 p.m. that same day)."

 

The investigation is still ongoing.
