Patrick Camara Ropeta, ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau (via ABS-CBNNews.com) reports that Lakwatsa, a Filipino merienda fare-themed restaurant in London’s Notting Hill, has been called "the next big thing" by Bitish newspaper Evening Standard.

The report revealed that Lakwatsa was launched in November 2012 and serves Pinoy merienda with a modern twist," as well as other Pan-Asian dishes. British-Filipina Claire Buyson is the founder of the cafe. The report quoted Buyson, who said, ""I wanted to really bring in some Filipino aspects to the lounge. Obviously being Filipino myself, and growing up in London, I felt like there weren’t many Filipino places." Buyson’s parents hail from Pampanga.
