ABS-CBN News correspondent Ina Reformina, via ABS-CBNNews.com, reports that "the Supreme Court (SC) has extended the 120-day temporary restraining order (TRO) it earlier issued against the implementation of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012."

Thje report explained: "In a text message to reporters, acting SC Public Information Office chief Atty. Gleo Guerra said that the extension is for an indefinite period of time. She texted: ’TRO in cybercrime case extended until further orders from Court.’"

The report noted that "the extension was most likely a result of the plea of the 15 petitioners against the controversial law which provides, among others, the criminalization of libel on the internet." The TRO was supposed to have expired this week.
