David Dizon of ABS-CBNNews.com reports that on Tuesday, March 12, "a debate between former President Joseph Estrada and Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim turned ugly." The debate happened in the ABS-CBN morning show Umagang Kay Ganda’s "Umagang Harapan" segment.

According to the report, Estrada accused Lim of betraying him when he joined the so-called EDSA Dos revolt in 2001, which led to Estrada’s ouster. (When things got chaotic at Malacanang, he said, ’Sir, I’ll just go out to make sure the police know what to do. The rallyists might break in.’ Instead, what he did was go straight to EDSA Dos. He left me)."

At some point, Lim called Estrada a "criminal." Then, for some reason, Estrada ended up challenging Lim to produce his birth certificate in order to prove he was, indeed, born in Tondo, Manila. Estrada said he himself was born in Tondo.
