Winners & Losers of the Week: Rosanna Roces, Derek Ramsay + others
We list who laughed last and who wept like a baby this past week.
(SPOT.ph) We list the personalities who experienced highs and lows this week. Admittedly, not all the winners may be ecstatic and not all the losers may be devastated. Life is complicated, folks. Remember: Don’t take everything literally and make sure to read between the lines...if you can find them. It’s up to you to guess when we mean what we say or when we’re putting on the snark. It keeps things interesting.
WINNERS: John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo (and company), for raking in the dough with It Takes a Man and a Woman. (Next up in the Montenegro-Magtalas franchise: It Takes a Very Special Baby to Change Your Life in a Moment, where the couple discover that their six-month-old child is a financial genius.)
WINNER: Solenn Heussaff, for being accused of tax evasion by the BIR. (Congratulations, the tax people think you’re rich enough to be sneaky!)
WINNERS: Ara Mina and Cristine Reyes , burying the hatchet. (Until the next catfight, ladies!)
WINNERS: Richard Gutierrez, for becoming a Philippine Navy reservist. (No, this is not a leftover April Fool’s Day joke.)
WINNER: Rosanna Roces, for allegedly besting her adult son in a scuffle and then throwing him out of her home. (Because co-dependency is not a virtue.)
LOSER: Sunshine Cruz, for saying that she forgives estranged husband Cesar Montano and then turning noncommittal when asked if they’d ever reconcile. (Here we go again.)
LOSER: Amalia Fuentes, for her libel case vs. Ruffa Gutierrez getting junked by the court. (Does anyone remember what the heck they were fighting about?)
LOSERS: Krista Miller, for saying she wants to talk to Sunshine Cruz. (Honey, are you on drugs?)
LOSER: Erap Estrada , for getting accused of being the mastermind behind the Sen. Chiz Escudero vs. the Ongpaucos controversy. (Somebody is giving him too much credit.)
LOSER: Derek Ramsay , for being tagged as a heartless boyfriend by Angelica Panganiban. (To paraphrase Shakespeare’s "All that glitters isn’t gold" quip, we say, "A man with glistening abdominal muscles isn’t always Prince Charming.")
