Lira Dalangin-Fernandez of InterAksyon.com reports that in a news conference held on Tuesday, April 8, Team P-Noy senatorial candidate Juan Edgardo Angara urged voters to "scrutinize senatorial bets well and decide based on their track record, integrity, and competence in carrying out their work in the Senate."

The report quoted Angara, who said "Ang akin posisyon ay no work, no vote. Huwag na nating iboto yung mga bulakbol, lakwatsero, yung mga hindi pumapasok sa Kongreso at Senado, yung hindi na nagtatrabaho (My position is: no work, no vote. Let’s not vote for those who don’t do any work, those who avoid doing any work, and those who don’t go to congressional sessions)."

Angara also added: "Iboto natin yung mga performing. Ano po yung pamantayan natin? Attendance sa session, attendance sa committee meeting, yung legislative record. Kamusta yung paggamit ng Priority Development Assistance Fund? Dapat ay ang iboto natin yung marunong gumamit ng pondo ng bayan sa mabubuting paraan (Let’s vote for those who have shown performance. What is our standards for that? Attendance in sessions and committee meetings and their legislative records. How about their use of the Priority Development Assistance Fund? We should vote for those who know how to use the country’s funds for good)."
