Lira Dalangin-Fernandez of InterAksyon.com reports that on Sunday, April 21, "Senator Gregorio Honasan and Cagayan Representative Jack Enrile pitched reconciliation with the Marcos family as the United Nationalist Alliance visited the stronghold of the late dictator's family."

Lira Dalangin-Fernandez of InterAksyon.com reports that on Sunday, April 21, "Senator Gregorio Honasan and Cagayan Representative Jack Enrile pitched reconciliation with the Marcos family as the United Nationalist Alliance visited the stronghold of the late dictator's family."

 

However, the report noted: "But while it was a friendly enough meeting the two had with their host, Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos, they failed to receive her endorsement for their senatorial bids on May 13." Honasan and Enrile are with the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), while Marcos is with the Nacionalista Party.

 

According to the report, when by reporters when asked if she would help Honasan and Enrile win votes from her provincemates, Marcos said, "I will not make any political statement ... We’re on the other side of the fence, you’re gonna get me into trouble."
