Siena College student killed as cement mixer truck crashes into concrete barrier and traffic light on Araneta Avenue

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Marie Cherrie Inson, a 20-year-old Sienna College student, died when a cement mixer truck crashed into a concrete barrier and a traffic light on Araneta Avenue corner Del Monte Avenue in Quezon City. The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23.

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Marie Cherrie Inzon, a 20-year-old Siena College-Quezon City student, died when a cement mixer truck crashed into a concrete barrier and a traffic light on Araneta Avenue corner Del Monte Avenue in Quezon City. The incident happened at around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23.

 

The report revealed that according to the driver of the cement mixer truck, Reynald Guarte, the vehicle’s brakes had failed. As it crashed into the concrete barrier and traffic light, the truck also hit a jeepney. Inzon had been standing beside the jeepney. Eight other people, including the jeepney driver, were injured.

 

Inzon was a graduating student and had been on her way to her OJT location that morning.
