ABS-CBNNews.com reports that on Tuesday, May 7, five people were killed by falling rocks after the Mayon Volcano spewed ash. The report noted that according to Albay Gov. Joey Salceda "the five fatalities are part of a group of climbers that included five foreigners and three tour guides."
The report further revealed: "In that group, four foreigners of unknown nationalities and a local tour guide, identified only as ’Jerome’ were killed after being hit by falling rocks. The group took the Canaway route via Malilipot town near the volcano."
