DZMM's Henry Atuelan, via ABS-CBNNews.com, reports that Philippine National Police-National Capital Region Police Office (PNP-NCRPO) has issued a reminder telling the public that the election gun ban will remain in place until June 12.

NCRPO chief Leonardo Espina said that according to the Omnibus Election Code, the election gun ban should be in effect until the end of the election period. The Commission of Elections issued a resolution last year stating that the midterm election period will run from January 13, 2013 to June 12, 2013.

The report noted that data from the PNP shows that at least 333 firearms and 324 bladed weapons have been seized from violators in Metro Manila since the start of the gun ban.
