InterAksyon.com reports that Atty. Yves Gonzalez, the Metro Manila Development Authority's (MMDA) traffic director who was responsible "for introducing Twitter to the MMDA’s traffic monitoring team" has left his job at the agency and is going back to the private sector.
According to the report, Gonzalez said in a letter that he was honored to "have been given the opportunity to serve the public as Metro Manila’s traffic director, helping to bring positive changes to our metropolis through the MMDA." Despite his resignation, Gonzalez will stay on as a consultant for the MMDA.
As the MMDA traffic director, Gonzalez worked with InterAksyon.com to help establish InterAksyon’s Traffic Navigator, "which brought real-time online traffic monitoring to the public via the Internet." He is known on Twitter by his handle, @doblezeta, the report noted.
