Aga Muhlach files electoral protest vs. Wimpy Fuentebella

ABS-CBN correspondent RG Cruz reports that "actor Aga Muhlach has filed an electoral protest against Wimpy Fuentebella, who defeated him in the 4th district congressional election" in Camarines Sur last May.

The report quoted Muhlach's lawyer Romulo Macalintal as saying that the case "assails the results of the election in 7 municipalities involving 70 clustered precincts." The lawyer added that Muhlach expects to recover around 7,000 votes once it is proven that there were glitches in the way the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines counted the votes. This in turn "will wipe out Fuentebella's 2,000-vote lead over Muhlach" in the polls.
