Dino Balabo of the Philippine Star reports via ABS-CBNNews.com that the families of two of the three men who died in the May 31 blast at Two Serendra said they have "no plans of filing charges against property developer Ayala Land Inc. (ALI)."
Â
The report quoted close friends of the families of Sallymar Natividad and Jeffrey Umali as saying that "the potentially high cost of litigation must have discouraged their families from pursuing a case against the property giant." The two men were among the three employees of Abenson who were crushed to death when a huge concrete slab fell from the destroyed condominium onto their van as it was passing by.
Â
The report added that as of this time, "it is not clear if the family of the third fatality, Marlon Bandiola, shares the same sentiment" as the two other families.
