CBCP gives P-Noy "failing grade" for 3 years in office

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "leaders of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) gave President Benigno Aquino III a failing grade for failing to curb poverty in the country amid claims of better-than-expected economic growth."

The report quoted CBCP-National Secretariat for Social Action chairman and Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo as saying on Radyo Veritas that he is giving Aquino "a grade of three out of 10 because the so-called economic growth has not trickled down to the poor." CBCP president and Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma also told the radio station that the 7.8 percent growth in the first quarter of 2013 being reported by the government "remains a mystery" to him because a large portion of the Philippine population is still experiencing hunger.
