Ernie Reyes of InterAkyon.com reports that on Sunday, June 7, "outgoing Senator Panfilo Lacson took to task Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV for belittling the import of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile's irrevocable resignation as Senate president."
Â
According to the report, Lacson "disputed the argument of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano that Enrile's speech did not answer the questions on the Senate fund mess." Then, he chastised Trillanes for describing Enrile’s resignation speech as "full of drama" and just the "rants of a bitter man."
Â
The report quoted Lacson, who pointed out: "[Since it was an] irrevocable resignation, how can it be drama? It was true. I went to his office right after his speech, and he was done packing, so there's no drama there."
