ABS-CBNNews.com reports that beauty salon mogul Ricky Reyes "has offered to give singing sensation Charice Pempengco a makeover." The report noted: "While many lauded Charice's courage for coming out, many netizens also criticized the singer's new look, accusing her of copying teen star Daniel Padilla’s haircut." Others have also pointed out that her short hairstyle makes her look like "Gangnam Style" singer Psy.

The report explained that Reyes, who owns a chain of beauty salons, made the "makeover offer" on Monday, June 17, during an interview with ABS-CBN News. He was quoted as saying, "Siguro, one of these days, I'd like to do her hair. I'd like to teach her what will fit her. Dapat may height, dapat may konting background [ang mukha], not all over her face. Because her face is rounded, medyo maliit pa siya. Kailangan lahat ’yun tinitignan."

Reyes had also added: "Ang pagpuputol kasi ng buhok, hindi lang just because gusto mo putulin and uso. You don't follow the trend. What she should look for is kung ano ang bagay sa kanya."
