Kris Aquino’s son Bimby set to star in his first movie; Kris embraces "stage mother" tag

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "Kris Aquino has warned that she will be a doting stage mother to son, James ’Bimby’ Yap Jr., who is set to star in his first film Torky and My Little Bossing." The movie is a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, which also stars Kris, child actress Ryzza Mae Dizon, and veteran comedian Vic Sotto.

The report noted that Kris said she was so into being a stage mom. "Mapapahiya si Mommy Divine (I’ll put Mommy Divine to shame)," she quipped. She was referring to singer-actress sarah Geronimo’s mother, Divine, who is known for being strict about Sarah’s comings and goings.
