Artemio Dumlao of Philstar.com reports that authorities arrested in Baguio City on Wednesday, June 19, a flower grower "suspected of acting as a middleman between marijuana suppliers in Benguet province and marijuana distributors" in the city.

According to the report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Cordillera nabbed Florentino Miguel Pigganto, a flower-grower or farmer from Ifugao, after he delivered 16 large blocks of marijuana wrapped in newspapers to a PDEA agent in a sting operation. "The seized marijuana blocks weighed 44.36 kilos and was valued at about P2.44 million," PDEA said.
