"Moses tablets" envisioned to prevent disasters in PH

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that on Sunday, June 23, Dr. Alfredo Mahar Francisco Lagmay, head of the Project Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards (Project NOAH), revealed that the team will start distributing the Monitoring and Operating System for Emergency Services (Moses) tablets to disaster managers in July at a convention on disaster preparedness. Lagmay said the tablets, "which are locally developed and assembled, have water-proof casing, antennas, and long-lasting batteries."

The head of Project NOAH, however clarified that the "Moses" tablets will not be readily available to the public, "but to barangay officials and local disaster managers who will be responsible in exchanging information with that from the command center of Project NOAH."
