No classes for elementary, high school students in Quezon City on July 22
It’s all because of P-Noy’s SONA.
ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "classes in private and public elementary and secondary schools in Quezon City will be suspended on Monday, July 22 to give way to President Aquino's fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA)."
The report quoted Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista as saying in a statement that the suspension of classes will be done "as a safety measure for the students and to minimize traffic congestion in the vicinity of the Batasan Pambansa during the SONA." College students, however, will have to check with their school officials if classes will also be suspended because the decision will be made at the discretion of the schools and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
So far, only the Quezon City Polytechnic University’s (QCPU) in Batasan has announced the suspension of classes on Monday for college students.
