P-Noy asks Congress to pass 3 key economic bills

The president’s proposed budget for 2014 is almost ₱2.27 trillion.

Ernie Reyes of InterAksyon.com reports that President Benigno Aquino III has asked Congress to pass three priority economic bills he said will hasten the country's bid for economic growth.


According to the report, Aquino urged lawmakers during his 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 22, to immediately pass the following bills: "an amendment to the Cabotage Law to strengthen competition and lower costs of air transportation; the fiscal incentives rationalization bill; and the land administration reform bill." The President also told members of the Congress during the SONA to pass the P2.268 trillion proposed budget of 2014, which will be submitted by the executive branch on Tuesday.
