Claudine Barretto files Temporary Protection Order vs. estranged husband Raymart Santiago
Just when you thought all was well, the plot thickens.
PEP.ph’s Arniel Serato (citing a report published on dzMM.com.ph) reveals that actress Claudine Barretto has filed a Temporary Protection Order (TPO) against her estranged husband Raymart Santiago. The report noted that Claudine’s lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, said that the TPO request was filed at the Marikina Regional Trial Court’s Clerk of Court on Monday morning, July 29.
When asked why his client wanted a TPO against her husband, Topacio answered, "She tried to make it work. Ayaw niya sanang magreklamo at humantong sa ganitong aksyon, ngunit hindi na po niya kaya (She did not want to resort to this course of action, but then she couldn’t take it anymore)."
Topacio alleged that Claudine has been suffering since 2005. The PEP.ph report also quoted what Claudine told dzMM: "I just want to be protected and I want my children to be protected." It implied that she had suffered "emotional stress" while she was with Raymart.
