Tycoon Henry Sy tops Forbes magazine’s list of richest Pinoys, TV5 boss Manny Pangilinan ranked No. 50

GMA News Online's Siegfrid Alegado reports that SM Malls tycoon Henry Sy remains the Philippines' richest man for the sixth straight year, according to Forbes magazine.
The report explained that the shopping mall magnate-who heads the country’s most valuable company, SM Investments Corporation-remains on top of the country's list of wealthiest individuals with an estimated net worth of $12 billion. The magazine noted that Sy's fortune rose by by $2.9 billion over the last year due to "the surge in shares of his SM Investments, the country’s most valuable company, which reported record profits of over $570 million in 2012."
