Manila Mayor Erap Estrada vows he will no longer seek higher office

That’s what he said.

David Dizon of reports that "former president and current Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, 76, again swore he will not seek higher office once his term ends in 2016." Estrada’s exact words were: "Naku hindi na, sumpa. Last ko na ito (I swear this is my last venture)," he said.


The report noted: "Rumors that Estrada might seek higher office have remained after he successfully ran for mayor of Manila in the 2013 elections. His first acts as mayor include a ban on buses that have no terminals and the relief of police officials who failed to curb corruption in their jurisdiction."
