Manila Mayor Erap Estrada vows he will no longer seek higher office
That’s what he said.
David Dizon of ABS-CBNNews.com reports that "former president and current Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, 76, again swore he will not seek higher office once his term ends in 2016." Estrada’s exact words were: "Naku hindi na, sumpa. Last ko na ito (I swear this is my last venture)," he said.
The report noted: "Rumors that Estrada might seek higher office have remained after he successfully ran for mayor of Manila in the 2013 elections. His first acts as mayor include a ban on buses that have no terminals and the relief of police officials who failed to curb corruption in their jurisdiction."
