Police find 400 pounds of shabu in Subic warehouse

The estimated worth of the illegal substance is P2 billion.

Jaime Sinapit of InterAksyon.com reports that on Sunday, August 11, "police authorities raided a warehouse in Subic, Zambales, and seized an estimated 400 kilos of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, with an estimated worth of P2 billion."


The report revealed that "six individuals were caught while loading travel bags and boxes at the port of Subic containing about 200 kilos (440 lbs) of the stimulant methamphetamine hydrochloride." The apprehended individuals were not named in the report. Authorities said they were still under investigation and that more details about the drug bust would follow.


The report further added that the raid "was the result of five months of undercover operations" and "was conducted by the Philippine National Police’s Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (PNP-AIDSOTF) (according to earlier reports)."
