Sunshine Cruz accuses estranged husband Cesar Montano of raping her
Who would have thought that it would come to this?
PEP.ph’s Gorgy Rula reports that on Tuesday morning, August 13, "actress Sunshine Cruz-who was accompanied by her lawyer Atty. Bonifacio Alentajan-filed a complaint-affidavit before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court to pursue an Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children case against her husband, actor Cesar Montano."
The report noted that Cruz alleged that "on Mother’s Day, May 12, Montano went inside her residence and found her alone. Cruz claimed that Montano then used force and raped her. Cruz added that she has also been denied access to her three daughters since July 29. Montano had reportedly fetched the kids from school but he never brought them to Cruz’s house.
Montano has denied the rape charge.
Meanwhile, the case is getting more complicated. In an ABS-CBNnews.com report, Cruz explained that she had waited for three months before filing the rape charge against Montano because she had wanted to "protect him" and more importantly their children. The ABS-CBNNews.com report also noted that Cruz was prompted to file the rape charge after Montano stopped paying the monthly support they had agreed upon. According to Cruz’s lawyer, Montano had paid three months’ worth of the monthly P350,000 that Cruz was entitled to. However, he had allegedly stopped paying the the said amount.
