Janet Napoles gets settled in "detention bungalow" inside PNP training camp in Laguna
Authorities insist that she’s not getting special treatment.
News5’s Lyn Olavario (via InterAksyon.com) reports that on Sunday, September 1, "businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles settled down in her new detention unit in a bungalow inside Fort Santo Domingp, a Philippine National Polie (PNP) training camp in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, as authorities imposed tight security rules, and plans were made to install CCTVs to better monitor her and the premises."
The report noted: "The media teams were not allowed to see the woman at the center of the P10-billion pork barrel scam, but the Philippine National Police released photos at its web site showing Napoles with the teams tasked to watch her. The photos showed: Napoles with her husband; two women members of the Special Action Force (SAF) medical team taking her blood pressure; Napoles talking to a uniformed male doctor, among others. She had no handcuffs, and was wearing a floral dress."
The report went on to describe Napoles’ living arrangements: "Overall, the bungalow is bare, with only chairs and a table, and showing minor signs of disrepair. The toilet is still being fixed. a refrigerator was allowed in consideration of her medical condition--she has diabetes."
