Janet Napoles is also on "suicide watch," reveals PNP
They’ve banned curtains because they fear she may use them to hang herself.
Cecille Suerte Felipe of The Philippine Star reports that the Philippine National Police (PNP) has banned sharp objects, shoelaces and ropes inside the bungalow in Fort Sto. Domingo where controversial businesswoman Janet Napoles is currently detained.
The report explained that members of the PNP's Special Action Force (SAF) has barred even the entry of curtains inside the special detention facility where Napoles, the alleged mastermind of the P10 billion pork barrel scam, is staying after being transferred from Makati City Jail over the weekend. SAF said that the handles of the toothbrushes Napoles will use have also been broken for her security reasons.
PNP-SAF director Chief Superintendent Carmelo Valmoria said the police camp "is secured with closed-circuit television cameras installed at various points as part of the tightened security for Napoles." Valmoria added that air conditioners are not installed inside the bungalow although a small refrigerator was put for Napoles to store her medicine since she is a diabetic.
