Taal Volcano featured in Katy Perry’s "Roar" music video

The volcano is part of the "paradise" the singer settles in.

 

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that the iconic Taal volcano made a cameo appearance in Katy Perry's latest music video for the song "Roar."

 

According to the report, the video "features a shot of the famous Philippine landmark and its surrounding lake at the 2:28- and 2:39-minute marks." In the video, Perry "is seen as a survivor of a plane crash who eventually adjusts to living in the wild." It has been viewed for over 30.5 million times as of Monday, September 9.

 

Department of Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez has lauded Taal Volcano’s inclusion in the pop star’s music video, saying it put the Philippines "in a good light."
