ABS-CBNNews.com reports that on Tuesday, (October 8) during a dzMM interview, actor Robin Padilla "expressed his loyalty to President Noynoy Aquino amid the controversy surrounding the alleged misuse of government funds." The report noted: "The 43-year-old action star assured Malacañang he is not out to distract attention from the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam."
The report explained that Padilla "made the statement in response to Palace spokesperson Edwin Lacierda, who urged Padilla against supposedly singling out Sen. Francis Drilon in the row over the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) funds." The report added that "Padilla had called on Drilon to step down as senator, following his admission that he received P100 million worth of funds from the DAP."
The report quoted Padilla, who said, "Ako’y aso ni P-Noy, ako’y di buwaya, ’di baboy. Kakahulan ko ang sinumang sisira sa presidente ko (I am P-Noy’s hound. I am not a corcodile or a pig. I will bark at anyone who’s out to ruin him)."
