Former Sen. Joker Arroyo calls presidential spokesperson Atty. Edwin Lacierda "a trainee"

The man isn’t joking.

Macon Ramos-Araneta of Manila Standard Today reports that "after trading insults over the Aquino administration's pork barrel system, former senator Joker Arroyo and presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda finally agreed on something: they both resolved not to waste time on each other."

The report noted: "Arroyo said he wants President Benigno Aquino III to become successful, despite his quarrel with the Palace and the people who work there." The report went on to quote Arroyo, who said, "I wish the President to succeed for his own sake, and more so for the country's sake. I do not favor talk about the President being impeached, consistent with my position that not every offense of impeachable officers is an impeachable offense."

When asked what he wanted to say to Lacierda, who has called him out for his alleged anti-administration sentiments, Arroyo said, "It is unkind to argue with a trainee."
