The Philippine Daily Inquirer's Jaymee Gamil reports that the photo of two women playing video games behind the counter at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) while a long line of passengers are waiting to be assisted has gone viral on social media, racking over 4,000 shares and 1,000 comments on Facebook as of Monday (October 21).
According to the report, the photo was originally posted on the blog Fashion Pulis (www.fashionpulis.com) on Sunday, October 20. The photo, which was credited as "courtesy of a Fashion Pulis reader," eventually became viral on Facebook when it appeared on the Filipino Patriotism page.
NAIA sources quoted in the report said the employees in the photo "were workers at a Philippine Overseas Employment Administration counter on the north wing of Naia Terminal 2" who were supposed to process the overseas employment certificates of departing overseas Filipino workers. The sources said the employees involved have already been notified that their misdeed was caught on camera.
