Freddie Roach says he will urge Manny Pacquiao to retire if he loses to Brandon Rios
He would know when Pac-Man should hang up his gloves.
The Associated Press reports (via Inquirer.net) that Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao's trainer, will "seriously" discuss the boxer's retirement " if he fails to perform well against Brandon Rios" during their fight in Macau on November 24.
According to the report, Roach declared in an interview that he "will be the first to tell" Pacquiao to retire if he loses to Rios because a defeat is seen to put his skills into question. Prior to his upcoming bout, the Filipino boxer suffered successive defeats at the hands of Timothy Bradley "in a much-criticized judges' decision, and a knockout at the hands of Juan Manuel Marquez."
Pacquiao is currently preparing for the bout in his hometown in General Santos City.
