Pacman’s coach Freddie Roach gets into a fight with coaches of Brandon Rios
Too much testosterone is all it is.
Roy Luarca of the Philippine Daily Inquirer reports that Manny Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach figured in an altercation on Wednesday (November 20) with conditioning trainer Alex Ariza at the training room in The Venetian Macau hotel, with the latter kicking the veteran coach on the chest.
According to the report, the scuffle erupted when Roach approached the team of Pacquiao's opponent, Brandon Rios, to vacate the training area since their time was up and the Filipino boxer already needed to start his training. Eyewitness accounts said "it was Roach and opposing trainer Robert Garcia who had an altercation with regards to overlapping training schedule, but Ariza butted in and told Roach to get out."
The heated exchange of words between the two trainers provoked Ariza to kick Roach on the chest, with the incident being caught on video. Pacquiao's trainer told Manila-based sportswriters afterwards that "he didn't regret what he said and that Ariza 'kicked him like a girl.'"
