Hopefully, they’ll be able to recover.
ABS-CBNNews.com reports: "Malacanang is now preparing bunkhouses and temporary shelters as the number of the internally displaced persons arriving in Manila from the typhoon-ravaged Visayas has reached around 6,000."
The report quoted Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Sonny Coloma told government radio dzRB, "Some of those who arrived in Metro Manila have relatives here. Others who have nowhere to go are being cared for by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)."
Meanwhile, the DSWD has already asked local government units in Metro Manila to help. Volunteers have also set up the "Oplan: Hatid" in Villamor Airbase to assist those who would want to go to their relatives' homes.
