Willie Revillame plans TV comeback in 2014 with self-produced variety show
Who’s looking forward to this? (Rhetorical question, folks.)
ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Willie Revillame is planning to stage a comeback on Philippine television sometime in 2014 with the revival of his self-produced variety show "on a network that has wide viewership."
According to the report, Revillame bared the plan to resume hosting his own show "in an interview with sports journalist Snow Badua on the sidelines of the Pacquiao-Rios bout in Macau last Sunday (November 24)." The 52-year-old has been on a hiatus for more than two months now after his variety show on TV5, "Wowowillie," aired its last episode on October 12 after seven months on air. "But in his closing lines in the program’s finale, Revillame said, "I will return!"
The controversial host transferred to TV5 in 2010 after spending five years as the host of "Wowowee" on ABS-CBN. His first show on the so-called Kapatid network, "Willing Willie," landed in hot water after allegations of child abuse surfaced "when a six-year-old contestant was supposedly made to perform as a 'macho dancer.'"
