15-year-old Filipino-Canadian girl charged for stabbing her father to death
They were in the middle of putting up Christmas decorations when it happened.
The ABS-CBN North America Bureau reports: "A 15-year-old Filipina teenager from Ontario, Canada has been charged with the fatal stabbing of her father."
The report noted: "Neighbors told the Toronto Sun that just earlier this week, the Filipino family who lived in the village of Streetsville in the City of Mississauga, was busy with putting up Christmas decorations." However, the young girl and her father, who was in his mid-50s, had a fight and she reportedly stabbed him multiple times.
The reason for their altercation was not disclosed. Moreover, under Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act, the girl can’t be named in reports. She will, however, be charged with second-degree murder.
