Justin Bieber describes surprise visit to Tacloban as the "most touching trip of my life"
We’re not the only ones touched by his gesture.
Imelda Magbutay of Agence France-Presse reports (via InterAksyon.com) that just hours after he sang and danced with the children in typhoon-hit Tacloban on Tuesday (December 10), international pop sensation Justin Bieber tweeted that his day-long visit to the Philippines was the "most touching trip of my life."
According to the report, Bieber flew unannounced to Tacloban to bring cheer to young survivors of typhoon Yolanda. A UNICEF representative said the Canadian singer sang Christmas carols to the children, including the hymn "Holy Night." He also played basketball with some of the young boys and posed with the residents for photos.
Before he landed in Tacloban through a chartered flight, Bieber tweeted that his performance for the kids in the typhoon-stricken town would be ""the last" and "the most important one" of his global "Believe" tour. After seeing the devastation in the area first hand, the singer encouraged fans all over the world through Twitter to "help and get involved" in efforts to raise funds for typhoon victims through a campaign on Prizeo.com.
