Boracay businessman claims to own "world’s largest pearl"; Guinness World Records representatives set to verify pearl’s stats
Manage your expectations, it doesn’t look "perfect."
Manila Bulletin reports that in an interview Monday (December 16), "Richard King, chairman of the Crown Regency Hotel, said that a group of gemologists from the Guinness World Records is expected to arrive here December 19 to 20 to formally inspect the pearl he calls as the ’Pearl of the Kings.’"
The current record as world’s largest pearl is held by the "Pearl of Allah," which weighs six kilos. King was quoted as saying, "Based on our initial measurement, the Pearl of the Kings weighs around nine kilos and we are confident that we could be certified by the Guinness World Records."
