Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s family gets permission to spend Christmas, New Year’s Day with her at VMMC
At least they’ll be together.
The Philippine Star reports that former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's wish to spend Christmas and New Year with her family has been approved by the Sandiganbayan. It’s just that they won’t be doing it at home.
According to the report, the court granted the former president's request for her family to stay at at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) "beyond visiting hours in the spirit of the holiday season and in consideration of her health." Arroyo's family will begin their stay at the VMMC in Quezon City on December 24, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They will also be allowed to stay longer inside the hospital on December 31, New Year's Eve and on New Year's Day, January 1.
