Basketball heartthrob Chris Tiu is one of PH’s Ten Outstanding Young Men
It’s the latest addition to his long list of accomplishments.
Delon Porcalla of The Philippine Star reports that basketball heartthrob Chris Tiu has been recognized as one of this year's Ten Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) in the Philippines.
The report noted that Tiu, the former team captain of the Ateneo Blue Eagles and the Smart Gilas Philippine national team from 2008 to 2012, was cited for exemplifying "youth leadership and development." President Benigno Aquino III presided over the awarding ceremonies held at Malacañang on Thursday, December 19.
In his speeach, Tiu urged his fellow awardees and the public to use modern technology to promote the values of "excellence, integrity and a deep sense of service to community."
