Firecracker injuries already at 140, says DOH
The New Year won’t be so happy for some unfortunate people.
ABS-CBNnews.com reports: "At least 140 people have been injured due to firecrackers as of 6 a.m. Friday, December 27, including one boy who lost his right hand due to the illegal firecracker Super Yolanda."
DOH Assistant Secretary Eric Tayag also revealed that five cases were due to stray bullets. On the bright side, he pointed out that the current firecracker injury count "is slightly lower compared to the 146 injuries reported in the same period last year."
