The promise: Faster release of NBI clearance with launch of new system
You know what they say about promises.
Camille Diola of Philstar.com reports that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has launched a new clearance system that will make the processing and release of NBI clearances faster, according to Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila de Lima.
The report noted that the system, which was developed by the NBI, features "an automated cashiering module designed for consistent accounting reports" and a renewal module "to make shorten waiting time of those who already have old records." De Lima described the new system on Wednesday (January 8) as a "more reliable platform" that will lead to the faster processing and release of NBI clearance. As of Wednesday, 29 sites nationwide are already using the new processing system.
NBI Assistant Director Medardo de Lemos, however, appealed to the public to be more patient in applying for clearance despite the launch of the new system since the bureau "is still adjusting to the newly acquired hardware."
