More than 600 people fall ill, get injured in Black Nazarene procession
The devotees take the risk so they can pay homage to the image.
The Philippine Red Cross reports that as of 2 p.m. today, they have assisted 615 people who felt ill or got hurt amid the Black Nazarene procession.
The Red Cross has deployed 300 volunteers and staff from the NCR chapters along the procession routes. The’ye set up first aid stations so they can immediately provide immediate relief to those who feel ill or are injured.
