336 tons of garbage picked up by MMDA along Black Nazarene route
Dear devotees, try to curb the "trashy moves."
DJ Yap, Maricar Brizuela, Tina Santos of the Philippine Daily Inquirer report that the January 9 procession, which culminated the Feast of the Black Nazarene, "drew an estimated three million people." The report then noted: "The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) revealed on Friday, Jan 10, that they collected 336 tons of garbage along the procession route from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church."
The procession had started on the morning of Thursday, January 9 and ended at around 2 a.m. on Friday, January 10.
