NBI arrests Nigerian drug suspect named "Thank God Ekenedilichukwu" for allegedly keeping ₱400,000 worth of shabu
He must be asking God for help right now.
ABS-CBN news correspondent Ina Reformina reports that Nigerian national Thank God Ekenedilichukwu has asked "for a full-blown preliminary investigation into drug charges filed against him by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in connection with his alleged possession of P400,000 worth of high-grade shabu."
According to the report, Thank God, a suspected member of the West African Drug Syndicate (WADS), was arrested by NBI agents on Tuesday (January 14) in Pamplona, Las Piñas City after a trained dog detected the presence of shabu inside his car. Thank God reportedly tried to escape, but he was eventually caught by the authorities and detained at the NBI headquarters in Manila.
Instead of asking to be freed, "Thank God waived his right to be released from detention and requested for a full-blown preliminary probe by the DOJ (Department of Justice)."
