Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy sets new record as the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time

The previous record belonged to <em>Sisterakas</em>.

Miguel Dumaual of ABS-CBNnews.com reports that Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry starring Vice Ganda, has made history by becoming  the highest grossing Philippine film of all time.

 

The report noted that based on movie producer Star Cinema's records, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy has already earned P427 million since opening on Christmas Day. The film, which won the 2nd Best Picture in the MMFF, beat the record set by Sisterakas two years ago.

 

The 2012 comedy film produced by Star Cinema  starred Vice Ganda, Kris Aquino and Ai Ai delas Alas. It earned a total of  P393 million throughout its run in local theaters.
