Bishop blames RH Law as the cause of Filipinos’ online porn consumption

People get addicted to porn even without the RH Law around.

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo has blamed the Reproductive Health (RH) Law for the rise of Internet pornography patronage in the Philippines.

According to the report, Pabillo criticized the government as "not right and consistent" since it still promotes the use of condoms and birth control pills even as it vowed to go after sex offenders who are involved in producing  pornographic materials in the country.

"It is saddening that the government said it would combat pornography but it itself promotes pills and condoms that encourages relationships outside marriages and extra marital affairs. It is not right and they should be consistent," he said in an article that appeared on the CBCP news site.

Last week, Britain's National Crime Agency revealed that it is working with foreign operatives to dismantle a pedophile ring in the Philippines that is allegedly responsible for streaming sex videos featuring Filipino children as young as six years old over the Internet. Malacanang has vowed to step up the government's efforts to stamp out the groups involved in the illegal activity.
