CBCP gets hot and bothered by lesbian couple on Disney Channel, priest slams Katy Perry, too
There’s only one reaction for this: "What the hell!"
Evelyn Macairan of The Philippine Star reports: "An official of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) criticized Disney's cable channel yesterday for featuring a lesbian couple in one of its shows, Good Luck Charlie."
The report said that Fr. Conegundo Garganta said that with this development in the Disney Channel, perhaps "it is time for the church to come out with its own channel to teach children good values." He quipped, "I was not able to watch it but if that was aired it is sad. Values are compromised."
Garganta went on to compare the so-called "change" in the Disney Channel with singer Katy Perry. He pointed out: "She used to sing ministry songs and lo and behold, in one awards show, she was dressed in a devil-like costume."
